Cinnamon Mug Muffin with Kodiak Power Cakes

I came across this recipe this morning because I reeeeeeeeally wanted a muffin or pancake or somethin this morning but I equally reeeeeeeeeeeally didn’t want to have to clean up afterwards.

So I consulted the internet gods.


The internet gods did not disappoint.

Kodiak Cakes makes some amazing flapjack mix and their Power Cakes mix has 14g protein per serving! Even using half the recommended serving size, you’re still getting a decent amount of protein in your muffin!

I found the recipe on the Kodiak Cakes website!

When I followed the recipe the macros are as follows:

  • 168 calories
  • Protein: 7.1g
  • Carbs: 28.6g
  • 13.5g sugar

OK, so they wouldn’t be great for an everyday breakfast, but I bet if I made a protein frosting or cream cheese frosting OMGGGGGGG it would be a great at least decent alternative to an 800-calorie Cinnabon!
